Jealous_cover Throwback Thursday…Wayyyyyyyyy back to 2006 and my debut album with producer/mentor Chuck Plotkin. This track, “What You Owe”, was particularly close to my heart. I think it was the first time I wrote a song where I was willing to be completely straightforward; to say, unequivocally, hey–you’ve let me down. Pay up or disappear. That’s a tough lesson to learn, I’m still practicing it everyday. Which is why it’s sometimes good to come back to this and listen.  xox What You Owe

Jealous_coverFrom my debut with mentor/producer Chuck Plotkin (Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan)…”Hash It Out” was THE most fun song to record on the album! We just jammed and jammed, and in the end had to cut something like 160 bars of outro. I’m going to play it at Hotel Cafe on August 12th (see Shows page for details). Hope to see you there! xox Hash It Out Get the album on iTunes..

Jealous_cover One of my favorite songs I’ve ever recorded is “Morningtime” off of Jealous Girl–my debut with producer Chuck Plotkin. Aside from the fact that I loved working with Chuck, writing “Morningtime” was something new for me–the first time I wrote something that felt like real peace. It was intended as a bit of a lullabye, but I think it works well for Mondays too. :) Morningtime Get the album on iTunes.. xox
