Very serious looking shot of us absolutely rocking out…

Okay, I know the title sounds a little risqué, but I’m seriously just referring to playing music. And maybe barbecue.

The shows last week in Austin were great fun–combining my solo material in the same night with the old Ginger & Sarah Band tunes was a wonderful kind of full circle feeling.

I came home with a bellyful of Tex Mex and excitement to finish out the performing year with a full band set at my favorite Hollywood joint: Room 5 Lounge. Next Tuesday we’ll play our last show of 2014, a year that took me from LA to Miami to LA to NYC to the Hamptons to Texas and back to LA. Please join us to celebrate such an adventurous year! There will be new tunes. And tequila. xox (See Shows page for details/tix.)

I was talking to someone in advertising recently, who deals in client management, and she said, “You know, but it’s not creative like being a musician.”

To which my response was, “Hogwash.” Or something unprintable. But my point was that everything in life is creative. All of it. Cleaning is creative. Breathing is creative. Etc and so forth.

I’ve got some shows coming up–you know what I do to feel inspired and creative for that?

Well THAT was fun! I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to be back in my old stomping grounds (note stomping in photo above), wailing away with my old friend Ginger–and new friends who played with us at One-2-One Bar! The place was packed, someone bought me a Lonestar Tallboy–what more could you wish for?
